Grandpa, are you sure Santa will fit?

Bill and Cassandra were checking out the fireplace to see if they could burn wood in it or not.  Daniel was helping also.  We spent yesterday helping Adam build a desk for Cassandra in her home office.  He was able to bring some real nice 5/8" plywood home.  So Bill and Adam built a real nice desk for Cassandra.  She now has lots of room on her desk top for her computer, printer, phone and "stuff".
The weather has been rainy some but it's off and on so doesn't bother us much.  Temp is in the 50's when we get up in the mornings but up to 60's-70's during the day.  We're sitting here right now with the windows and door open.
Betty sent my 2 Christmas quilts, she did a great job on both of them.  I just need to get material for the binding, my favorite part to sit with the quilt on my lap and hand sew.  I have 3 sets of the blue and gray material cut out and 1/2 square triangles sewn.  The paper Thangles seem to work okay.  First cutting strips 2 1/2" wide, then you have to be careful pinning the paper on to make sure it lines up and doesn't slip.  Sewing on the lines was good.  Then cutting them all apart.  Next pressing them, don't forget the one tail needs to be cut too.  Next tearing the paper off.  And you're done.  It seemed like alot of steps to me but I'll use them till they're gone.

Haven't been to a quilt store yet, but that's on the agenda.  Also the T-shirts should be coming this week.  I received an e-mail from them, they haven't forgotten us.

My Christmas cactus loves it down here.  It's almost ready to bloom, lots of buds.

Any snow yet?
